OUR STORY

For more than 15 years, our vision of establishing an "Acts 2 Church in Every College Town" has led us to empower over 800 co-vocational ministers, who have successfully planted churches in various college towns throughout the United States.

LEADERSHIP

John & Kelly

John and Kelly’s journey of faith began in college, when each encountered the gospel and experienced the transforming power of God’s Word and Christian community. John first heard about Jesus through his best friend’s youth group in high school, but it wasn’t until his freshman year at UC Berkeley that he recognized the emptiness of a life without meaning and purpose. Kelly similarly stumbled upon the church during her freshman year at Berkeley and discovered the relevance of God’s Word and the joy of doing life together with fellow believers.

Since then, both have been deeply involved in building the church, serving in youth ministry, and helping plant churches in Davis (1999) and Austin (2008). They are excited to now serve in the DMV and hope others can experience the same transforming love of Jesus and community that has shaped their lives. Outside of ministry, John enjoys basketball and puns, while Kelly loves hiking, volleyball, basketball, and anything active outdoors.

  • No, our ministry is open to anyone interested in exploring Christianity or wanting to be part of a supportive community. If you are Christian and want to be discipled, we have resources for that as well!
